Inner Reducing Method Producing Blue Tungsten Oxide
Inner reducing method producing blue tungsten oxide is by reducing W with tungsten compound inner composition, usually use ammonium paratungstate (APT) as raw material to synthesize intramo leculsrly reducing tungstate, short for IRT, decompose it in inert atmosphere, then blue tungsten oxide with high purity and large specific surface area will be obtained.

1. Choose the proper inert gas. To prevent generation of tungsten trioxide, IRT thermal decomposition should be processed in inert atmosphere, such as nitrogen gas atmosphere which is an economic gas and won’t affect product quality.
2. Thermal decomposition temperature will also affect product quality.
3. Thermal decomposition time needs to be well controlled which will affect product quality.
Inner reducing method producing blue tungsten oxide is the further development of APT mild hydrogen reducing method. With raw material APT, IRT is synthesized, then IRT can be decomposed in nitrogen atmosphere, blue tungsten oxide with high purity can be obtained. Besides that, it has properties of large specific surface area, uniform grain size and single phase composition, can be used as raw material for producing tungsten wire and tungsten carbide products.
